Hi Jenny,
We have had several request for transcription of DVDs and our support workers who do audio transcription are always keen for the additional work. They take the DVD home and produce the transcription. So you might find someone from your pool of support workers. (Though you may have tried this.)

Subject: Video Transcription for Hearing Impaired student
Hello,
A Hearing Impaired student studying a PGCE course is required to study a 'Phonics' module, for which there are 7 short (7 mins-40 mins) digital videos she must watch. She needs to have these transcribed but all the transcription services I have contacted only work with audio files not video files (and alot of the context will be gained by watching it).
Does anyone know of any companies or universities that would be able to help us do this? Or does anyone have any advice they could give me in relation to this situation?
Thank you very much.
Jenny Anderton,
Higher York Access Centre.
