And one might argue that if the car is sufficiently rare then it wouldn't matter if the registration plate ir blurred - it's still your PD.
Out of interest - when you say classic, does it have silver-on-black plates? I would guess it's missed because of that if so.

All this is very interesting. I just had a look at my house and find that whilst my wife's car registration plate is fuzzed out, my classic motor isn't!
I'd much rather any scroats pinch my wife's car than my beloved classic!
