RNIB's Insight Magazine is looking for some ideas and contacts for the
next
three issues:
Numeracy:
Does anyone have knowledge of projects to help young people age 16-25
with visual impairments who need help to improve their numeracy skills
eg to get into employment? And does anyone know a young person studying
maths at university who could write about their experience?
Assessment:
I'd like to hear from people who use tests or observation to assess
young people with sight problems - this could include psychometric
testing, assessing basic skills, assessing success of work placements
and so on. It's a very broad topic so lateral thinking is welcomed!
Life after school:
Our issue on options after leaving education. I would welcome all
suggestions for ages 16-25, including those with additional needs. This
could include resources, organisations, research.
