Subject: [data-protection] Libraries and Public Access Terminals
> Is what I do on these access points recorded?
I would imagine so.
> if so, for what purpose?
Prevention or apprehension of crime, inappropriate use, fraud, whatever
you would do at an anonymous computer.
> And is it recorded against my personal details?
I would imagine so.
Although perhaps the policies should be clearer, I can see no issue with
the library becoming a data controller for this purpose. Do you have
any reason to suspect that they are working outside of their legal
obligations?
