It would depend on the nature of the contract with the supplier.
As indicated by the email from QAF suppliers, they would not seek
additional payments from students with disabilities to provide additional
resources to successfully complete that training with regard to the
students needs. So, hopefully this situation is unlikely to occur.
I've asked for information from the specialist tams who will be doing the
final part of the DSA assessment at SLC for their input in this area.
As stated before, the over-riding issue should be that the student receives
the most appropriate support throughout the course of their studies to
ensure successful completion. I'll update when I receive a reply.
I should clarify that my main role at SLC is, amongst other things, to
increase the uptake of DSA, and heighten awareness of DSA both before and
during higher education.
