I'm studying, admittedly full-time, but I still get DLA and IB. DLA
is fine, but I did have to show that I could manage to do a course but
not work to keep my IB. Surely only being able to manage a course
part-time is a good way to show that you can't manage to work
full-time?
I was told that grants and bursaries don't matter for IB which is
weird but I checked this out thoroughly at the time and it seems to be
true. A PCGE with work placements might be more difficult to prove
that you aren't capable of work but as far as I am aware there is no
automatic reason why the student couldn't keep IB. Income support is
obviously means-tested and the bursary would be taken into account for
this though.
