Hi Toby,
as samantha points out sensitive personal data can be processed for equalties
reasons, including disability.
We at the SFC are currently in the process of agreeing a staff form with
colleges which asks specifically for such data. Our purpose is for the
promotion of equalities and elimination of unfair discrimination.
The benefits are (hopefully) supposed to be in assessing where any
discrimination or lack of resources show up. Then we or the Scottish Gov can
target areas that need money/resources/policy changes
for the greater good..of course, but it's still an intrusion and many people are
unhappy with it..but the way I understand it this still does not mean it is
mandatory to fill in these parts of the form.
Cheers, Simon Mac
