I'm new to this list - so hello all!
I am currently supporting a student with a visual impairment who is
required to be around some strong chemicals as part of her medical
training. Basically, we have been looking online to see if there are any
manufacturers of goggles large enough to be fitted over prescription
glasses, or that can be fitted with prescription lenses - (much like the
moisture-chamber glasses used by people who experience difficulties with
dry-eye syndrome).
The student's needs assessor hasn't encountered anything this
specialised, and the student's low vision clinic can't help. All the
technology that looks like it might be worth investigating (moisture
chamber glasses) appears to be manufactured and distributed in the USA.
Does anybody have experience of this in the UK?
