Hi Everyone,
Right now at Access-SUMMIT, we are practicing the yearly exercise of
chasing unpaid NHM support invoices. Most of the refused payments are
due to a student 'not filling out a PR1 form'. Though we make every
effort to encourage students to contact their funding bodies on a yearly
basis, we are never 100% successful with our hit rate.
We also send out a list of students to each funding body, asking them to
confirm the funding status of their students. This too brings mixed
results. Some bodies send us back helpful information, others don't
reply at all.
So, in another effort to minimize our losses for the upcoming year, can
I ask for some help from this list?
There doesn't appear to be a hard and fast rule for the requirement of
PR1 forms. Some funding bodies want them, others don't.
In your experience, which ones do? Having at least a partial list of
those authorities who expect yearly renewal from their students will
help us to focus our efforts. We'll be able to concentrate then, on
communicating with those students who we know will need to fill out the
paperwork every year.
Off hand, I can name a few that I believe to require the form:
-Oldham
-West Sussex
-Cheshire
Any input is greatly appreciated.
