I have just placed an order over the phone. At the end they asked for my date
of birth 'because of the data protection act'. What's that got to do with it I
asked ? Oh we need it. How are you going to pay (They invoice you once you
receive the goods) ? In full I said, probably by cheque (This is £30 we're
talking about, not thousands) Also, what is your first name ? I'd given my
initial - because of the data protection act they said again. I couldn't be
bothered to argue, the call was costing me money anyway since I'd been
through numerous automated switchboards. They then said - oh you're ex-
directory. I said yes.
Makes you wonder.....
