Don't forget you can set up a mail filter on your email package to send
messages with particular text in the subject line into a separate folder. in
Windows Mail this is in Tools - Message Rules - Mail - New button. You might
have to move this rule up to the top of the list if you've already got
filters set.
It's worth getting someone to help you do this if you can't get it to work,
especially before the holiday season!

Does anyone know how to set Rules up Outlook and/or Exchange
Server so that it doesn't send "Out of Office" replies to
lists?
I'm sure a blow by blow explanation of how to do this (if
indeed it can be done) would be very much appreciated by
all.
George.

Absolutely, Judith,
I for one certainly don't - and I've made this point to the
list before.
Our Groupwise mailing system here allows the user to set it
so that only personally-addressed messages are responded to,
and group mailings are simply stored in the mail box for
later review. Surely other systems have similar options, and
it would be a thoughtful gesture for the eternally-away to
explore theirs and utilise the option if it exists.
I've gotten so fed up with this particular autoreply that
I've blocked any message originating from Suzanne Marshall,
I only received it this time because it came in via the
list. Assuming that Ms Marshall is ever IN her office to and
wishes to communicate with me, she will have to telephone
instead... However, to block each and every automatic reply
in this way would be a real nuisance and a waste of
resources.
Ah well, that's technology for you, isn't it?
Have a nice one, as our American friends say...
