It's widespread in the USA that you can't collect your child from school
during the day (Doctors appt, or they are feeling ill etc) without
showing photo ID. Despite the above-mentioned "hi daddy" effect and you
looking familiar to the staff. And your ID has to be registered with the
school in advance.

That's the sort of thing I was getting at in my posting, although
abductions may happen before it gets to the stage of court orders.
Equally shit-hit fan I would have thought.
Finally, what about parents collecting other family's kids - the
fingerprint device won't check that you leave with the correct number of
ankle-biters.
