At UEA we carry out an in-depth diagnostic interview, parts of the DAST
(phonemic segmentation, backwards span and nonsense passage) and the
WRAT 4. This usually provides us with a good indication of whether
dyslexia is likely. The student is then referred on to an Educational
Psychologist who carries out a full assessment.
If the student is not diagnosed with dyslexia by the EP, they can still
access support from our Leaning Enhancement Team.
