Subject: Re: students with dyslexia on placement in Germany
Hi Heather,
For our own distance students (in special circumstances) we try to
support them as much as we can in house and remotely, using email and
comments. However, i am hoping to pilot a Skype exercise with one of
my students. Alternatively, could an external support agency find a
suitable tutor in Germany?
Kind regards
Stephanie

Dear all
A student with dyslexia has asked me if I know what she can expect
when she goes on a placement to a German University next December and
whether she should declare that she has dyslexia. (She is doing
Teacher Training). Has anyone any knowledge or experience of the
German HE system? HOw it would be viewed if she declared dyslexia
etc? Any other issues which might come up for her.
She has DSA, so will have a laptop with assistive software she can
take with her.
Thanks for your help.
