Currently ours go to an Education Psychologist with additional
competence in this field; she also does other information processing
difficulties and so can identify other possible co-existing conditions,
make appropriate recommendations and produce a report acceptable to LEAs
for DSA.

Subject: Dyspraxia Assessment
Dear All,
I am enquiring of the route that institutions take, for assessing
students
for Dyspraxia?
We seem to be receiving conflicting advice on either through a GP, and
referral to specilaist ie, Occupational Therepist or an Educational
Psychologist?
These different routes place different emphasis on the role of the
University in helping to facailitate the assessment, so we wish to
ensure
we get this right! Also, the implications for using the assessment for
DSA?
Many thanks
Emily
