Hi all,
I am sending this on behalf of a student at Sheffield Hallam, if you wish to contribute please email me off list and I all forward it on. Please see below...
I am a final year undergraduate at Sheffield Hallam University and at the moment I am carrying out research for my dissertation.
I am looking at the use of IT systems in Disabled Student Support services in HE/FE. I myself am a user of these services. I am interested in finding out what IT systems different users and forum members are using, especially for booking support workers, interpreters, notetakers, PAs etc...; record keeping; and invoicing LEAs to reclaim DSA on behalf of the student and processing pay claims.
I am aware of some packages that are avaliable e.g. Student Relate/Maximiser; Tertiary Disability Matching Software(TDM); and SAGE. I would welcome any feedback on what people have found to be the strengths and weaknesses of these packages (and any others) and information about any custom made system especially if it is capable of handling all these complex requirements in one program. Many thanks in advance for your help. All responses will be treated with confidentiality, and anonymity will be guaranteed(when requested).
(end)
thanks
Rich
