Hello everyone,
I've had an enquiry from someone today who is doing ECDL. He is
registered partially sighted and has mobility problems. He doesn't
really have problems visually with the computer. He has done the first
unit and has 8 more tests to do. The problem is with the tests due to
transport and building accessibility as he is supposed to take the tests
at a particular centre but the room is on the first floor and the lift
is constantly broken and public transport doesn't pass it. He has tried
several local libraries and colleges but they don't do ECDL.
Does anyone know a source of funding for taxis he could tap into or what
he would be entitled to in the way of support? Could an invigilator go
to his house? I would have thought it was reasonable adjustment that the
centre pay to organise this?
Thanks for your help,
Catherine
