Interestingly enough, much the same question came up on the
JAWS-UK list yesterday.
Here's one response from a V.I. JAWS user:-
"if you don't want to pay for a blind friendly product such
as Kurzweil 1000, Omnipage version 16 works well,
particularly if you set it up to scan into Microsoft Word
and turn off proofreading after scanning."
