Dear All,
I have just been reading your posts concerning law society alternatives to
exams. I am currently studying the conversion course and am a disabled
student and have real difficulties in sitting three hour exams. I have
been told that there is nothing that can be done and my only other option
is to do the course part time. However this would not solve the problem in
the slightest as i would still have to sit three hour exams. I am having
really difficulty in getting anyone to listen to me as all they say is
that they are having to comply with the Law Society Regs.
Does anyone have any advice? I really feel that my dreams of becoming a
solicitor are evaporating before me because the lack of support and the
difficulties i am facing on top of trying to maintain my health are really
making me question whether it is all worth it!
I would be incredibly grateful if anyone knows of any universities or
centres that have been able to implement alternative assessments
successfully.
