Dear Wendy,
I worked with someone in a similar situation, of
failing a module several times and having one
last chance to take it. Her dyslexia was
diagnosed while at university, probably the year
before the problem. We looked at why she was
passing other modules, what was different about
this one for her and derived completely new
learning processes for the module she was
failing. She passed and the tutor said it was
like marking the work of a totally different
student. I usually create mind maps of what
students tell me so that they can see all
they've said; it often allows them to unpack
what going on for them and it helps to find the
solution.
Best wishes with it.
