At Northumbria University students cannot use laptops on the 'wired'
network. They can however gain access to several wireless networks
using Desktop Anywhere (Citrix/Terminal Services).

Subject: Using laptops to access the network
Hi
Could you advise me of any policies or procedures you have in place that
allow students, who have been assessed for a laptop through DSA, to
access your college/university networks?
How do you prevent potential virus contamination?
Many thanks
Louise
