Hi Liz
We do all you have listed, essentially we have appointments and a drop-in for students, typically an appointment lasts an hour and then there is admin time following that. I was looking to see how other disability officers/advisers manage time for example how much is taken up with appointments, drop-in, tutor liaison etc. to benchmark.
I appreciate it is very difficult to do this as student need differs.
Hope this clarifies my question. If I could contact you off list?
Thanks.

Dear Heather
Your question is unclear to me. I am not a tutor who has teaching hours
- in addition to interviews with students I have phone calls and email
conversations with them. I also have conversations with tutors, funding
authorities and others on their behalf. What do you mean by contact
time? I would differentiate between casework, which is any action on
behalf of students and other tasks / team meetings etc. On that basis,
casework is about 90% of my time.
Regards
Liz
PS why do you need to know.

Subject: Disability Adviser, Officer Contact Time
Dear All
I am trying to find out best practice with regard to student contact
time. How many hours do Disability Advisers, Officers spend with
students each week?
Thanks.
