We require an enthusiastic person to join our dynamic team in providing
a high-quality service to prospective and current disabled students
advising on the provision of support services and facilities within the
University. The service promotes a student-centred approach to support
provision and achieves this through close liaison with other support
services, academic departments and external agencies. The appointee will
work closely with the Disability Coordinator and other colleagues to
ensure the delivery of support to a broad range of students, and will
provide advice and information to disabled students, ensuring that they
are able to fully access the opportunities within the University.
Candidates should be educated to degree level or have equivalent
experience and have disability related experience and/or knowledge,
preferably in a HE setting. A sound understanding of Disability
Discrimination legislation, with particular reference to the HE sector
is also required.

We require an enthusiastic person to join our dynamic team in providing
a high-quality service to prospective and current disabled students
advising on the provision of support services and facilities within the
University. The service promotes a student-centred approach to support
provision and achieves this through close liaison with other support
services, academic departments and external agencies. The postholder
will carry out reception and clerical duties to support the department,
and deal with enquiries from students, staff and visitors. Applicants
should have excellent communication and IT skills, and the ability to
work as part of a team. Previous experience of working in an office
environment is also essential. The post is part-time, working 21 hours
per week.
