Our historial copies of the electoral register are only available in hard
copy and as such are in Ward, House and Street order. If we are given a
name only by the Police making a Section 29(3) request, and asked to look
for references back to 1990, do these old registers count as an
unstructured filing system ?It means someone would have to read every entry
to see if that name was present at any address, in any year.
Later years available electronically can and will be searched.
