KCMP Training courses
The following courses are likely to be relevant for staff in colleges and universities supporting disabled (and other) students.
(i) Anti-discriminatory Training for Trainers: one day introduction and refresher course
Tuesday 28 August 2007
10am - 4pm, Square Centre, Edinburgh
This course suits people who are new to training or who wish to reflect on their current training practice. The course offers an opportunity to consider different aspects of training, including models of practice, learning styles, training design and group dynamics. An anti-discriminatory approach will be highlighted throughout, and you will receive a resource pack on all topics covered.
(ii) Person Centred Planning: 2-day introduction and refresher course
18 and 25 September 2007
10am - 4pm, Square Centre, Edinburgh
This course offers an opportunity to explore and experience different aspects of person centred working including, philosophy and history of person centred planning, adopting the principles of person centred planning, and applying models of practice, including person centred planning tools and use of graphic recording.
