This is an interesting query, especially as I have been faced with this
issue myself as a dyslexic person.
My understanding of the various disability equality employment actions,
such as the Two Ticks scheme, is that a person with a disability is
guaranteed an interview should they meet the essential requirements for
the job they are applying for.
I am not sure that it would be appropriate to add caveats to that
consideration over the "level" of disability or dyslexia. For example,
how would one assess this prior to an interview, who would make that
judgement? Such an assessment might constitute an additional barrier for
a disabled/dyslexic person to face, so any employer who did so might be
breaking the law.
Also, the level of disablement/"debilitation" a person with dyslexia
will experience will be in part depending on their level of impairment
from the dyslexia, and in part due to the disabling factors of any
environment which they find themselves, (which has not had relevant
barriers removed from it).
So I would suggest that if a person with dyslexia applies for a job, and
they meet the minimum essential requirements of that job, they might
well be entitled to an interview. However, different prospective
employers might have their own individual policies and procedures
relating to his matter.

Subject: Disability and Guaranteed Job Interviews
I'd be grateful if anyone could suggest how I advise a student whose
query is: Is dyslexia considered to be sufficiently debilitating to
secure in a guaranteed interview when applying for jobs?
I have heard it suggested that only severe dyslexia would be grounds for
bringing an action under the DDA.
