For policies you may already have come across the discussion and
guidelines on our web site at www.dyslexic.com/accessibility (and the
links from there) and the BDA's at
http://www.bdadyslexia.org.uk/extra352.html.
Of course, whatever you do, it is also important to make the result
available electronically, so that readers have the option of listening
to it using text to speech.
I'd be very interested to read your recommendations!

Subject: [DIS-FORUM] improving literature
Dear All, (apologies for cross-postings)
I am looking into improving how we inform students with Specific
Learning Difficulties. I am looking into how the information, for
example info on the DSA process or a handbook on how our services work,
is laid out, structured/organised, divided (different sections, how does
a reader find their way around the document) and of course the language
that is used.
As well as improving out literature, I would like to write this up and
look at what recommendations can come out of it, so I need some back-up!
Does anybody have any examples of best practice, their own policy, or
know of any research that has been done in this area?
Many thanks,
Rosie
