Hi
In 2003, I carried out a needs assessment for a student with epilepsy
who was planning to study in the USA for a while. She faced a similar
challenge.
Ultimately, things were arranged so that the medical officer at the USA
university would prescribe medication which was funded via the DSA
(approx £750). If the student is in receipt of DSA, it might be worth
trying to arange something similar.
(Note: I am aware that the cost of drugs and medical assistance are not
normally covered by DSA!).
Regards
Peter
