"Sharing Our World with You"
Call for Presentations


Dear Friends in and of the Disability Community:

On September 29-30, 2007, The Ohio State University will host, in
collaboration with VSA Arts Ohio, Columbus Recreation and Parks Dept.,
Ohio Wheelchair Sports Association, and a growing list of other
prominent sponsors, the first annual Midwest Regional Disability
Lifestyles Conference and Expo in Columbus, Ohio. This event is planned
by people with disabilities, for people with disabilities, their
friends, family, and the professional communities who support them.

In combination with a large expo of vendors and service providers, a
Saturday night reception party, and keynote address, we will be having
workshops on various activities, recreational opportunities, arts
programs, and competitive sports clinics and demos on Saturday and
Sunday.

We are currently soliciting speakers and presenters for this event. If
you have ideas for workshops (75 minutes) on a topic of interest (see
attached list for possible ideas), please fill out the attached form and
send us a proposal at:

Deadline for submission of proposals is May 31, 2007. We intend to have
all proposals reviewed and workshops lined up by June 15, 2007. You will
then receive notification of the acceptance of your proposal by June 22,
2007.
