Forwarded on behalf of Alison Lambert:
Whilst the application forms for post grad and part time DSAs can't be
registered on the Protocol system it is still possible to proceed with
the
applications. At Surrey, provided the student is eligible to receive DSA
funding, students are always referred for the Assessment of Needs as
soon
as possible. We do not wait to register the form on Protocol. Maybe this
is
something other LAs could be encouraged to do until the SLC (Student
Finance Direct) can be made to get the relevant parts of Protocol up and
running at the same time as the full time part of the system.
Many thanks.
Regards, Alison
