Hi Louise
I can't really give you advice about being a freelance assessor but I
was a freelance trainer for about 3 years www.assist-it.org.uk - and
still do some DSA/SAAS freelance training when required.
When I enquired to SAAS about becoming a freelance assessor I was told
that there were guidelines being put in place and some discussion
about a National Assessor Qualification, although I'm not sure to what
extent this has developed.
If you are keen to purue this avenue it might be worth contacting your
local funding agency to find out more.
Regards
Craig
