Hi,
Just to add to Ellen's information - Snowdon does not grant large sums
so doesn't go far in bridging the gap between DSA and actual costs
incurred creating access for Deaf students, but it does however give
grants to D/deaf students even though many people think it only
considers applications from those with physical impairments - it sees
its remit as much wider than this.
For D/deaf students in particular (but fairly small sums) there is also
the Peter Greenwood Memorial Trust, see:

Subject: Funding for Supporting Deaf Students
Hi,
I attended the NADP conference yesterday about Deaf Perspectives and
someone mentioned the use of Charities to help provide financial support
when a Deaf student who has complex needs uses support that costs more
than the DSA can provide- can anyone please advise me on Charities that
they know of, or have used, who may provide this type of assistance for
Deaf students in HE and how I may go about contacting them?
Thanks for your help!
Best wishes,
