Further to my previous post, I should have perhaps put a bit more
information in, so this is from the Cambridge Rugby Club's website.
Hope it is seen as being appropriate to post this.
Thanks

Everybody who knows Cate Stephens was shocked last autumn when we heard
that she had been paralysed following a tragic road accident.
Fortunately, due to Cate's amazing courage and determination, it seems
likely that she will lead a full independent, though still wheelchair
bound life.
Two of her colleagues from university, Andrea Havill and Laura Fidler who
are physios at Rosslyn Park, are planning to cycle from Land's End to John
O Groats - a total of 1000 miles over a 2 week period from May 26th to
June 10th. They are aiming to raise at least £10,000 which will be used to
help Cate buy equipment to aid her rehabilitation and ultimately her
independence. Some of the money raised will also go to a fantastic charity
with which Cate is already involved called Back-Up. They enable
outdoor/sporting activities, ski holidays and much else for people with
spinal injuries.
So far they have been promised coverage in several London papers, a physio
magazine and their respective hospital trust magazines to name a few. They
also plan to approach Rugby World and local TV stations along the route.
They have setup a website, http://www.andreaandlaurasbigcycle.com , where
you can see their training progress and read about the epic ride and, most
importantly, donate to the cause. If there is any way that you can help,
please visit the site and give generously to help a good friend to
Cambridge Rugby.
