I do contract work through agencies rather than directly which I would
imagine is rather rare in the contract employment field.
They therefore wouldn't have such information on me because they are not
employing me directly.
Having said that I can imagine that they would wish to check that I am not
claiming benefits whilst I am working even in a contract position - although
the length of such periods of work might also be a relevant factor.
