Dear Deb
It is my experience that students with diabetes have little contact with
the Disability Team as they do not see it as impacting directly on their
studies. Those diagnosed with diabetes have usually received excellent
advice from the medical services and this is usually ongoing if
necessary. We are fortunate to have a specialist clinic in the Health
Centre on campus which offers support and advice on the health related
issues.
I would be interested, if you decide to go ahead with this, to hear how
successful it has been.

Subject: Students with Diabetes
Hi all,
We're thinking of setting up a support group of sorts for students with
Diabetes, and certainly offering some advice on eating healthly whilst
at
university.
I was wondering whether any other universities offer anything similar?
If
so, has it been well recieved by students?
Thanks in advance,
Deb Taylor
