Hello James,
I haven't dealt with student midwives, but am currently dealing with
medical students who have a hearing loss.
The following web pages may have something useful for your prospective
student:
http://www.amphl.org
http://www.hphl.org.uk
At the moment I'm investigating amplified stethoscopes - and wish that
somehow we could try before we buy.
There may be, as there is with medical undergrads, a need for an
Occupational Health assessment to check on fitness to practice. This is
a GMC requirement, not a university one.
Best wishes,
Lynne
