Dear All,
I have recently seen a student with a chronic pain condition.
One of the difficulties she is having is with taking notes from the
board, she gets neck pains from moving her head to look from the
board, to look at the desk.
In addition, the student has dyslexia and prefers to take her own
written notes as a learning aid.
She has requested something to either make her chair lower, or the
desk higher so that she is in line with desk and board, which would
minise the head movements she has to make.
I was thinking of maybe something that would sit on top of the desk,
but I have no idea if this type of thing exists.
You may remember seeing my query last week about how to keep ergonomic
equipment in the right place at the right time, so that's another
difficulty, once I've found something suitable for the student.
Any suggestions? Suppliers? Specialists?
Many thanks,
Rosie Ernst Trustram
