Dear All
I have been asked to attend an inquiry panel at the Disability Rights Committee regarding the formal investigation into fitness standards on social work, teaching and nursing courses. I will be going along as a member of the reference group for the project but also to represent the Disability Equality Partnership (AonA, ECU, HEA). However, it would be an excellent opportunity for someone from an HEI to come along and give evidence about their experiences of supporting students (or even studying) on these courses. If you work in a HEI where these courses are delivered and have examples of students' experiences (good and bad) and would like to come along (I only need one person) please could you get in touch off list. You should be available to attend the DRC offices in London on Thursday 1st March at 2-3pm. Unfortunately we can't pay any expenses related to the meeting. More information about the investigation is available at:

Thanks
Mike
