Hello Honey,
The link you sent was great because the lumber support is attached to a
"seat" section.
Some of our students have portable lumber support to use on chairs at
university, but a lot of our chairs have a gap between the seat and the
back. Students find that their backrests can start to slip down this
gap.
Does anyone else have this problem with the standard chair on campus?
Thanks
alice

Hi Rosie
this may not help in all circumstances, but where we've had students who
need more supportive chairs than those usually found in lecture rooms
etc we've got some BackFriends (e.g.
http://www.benefitsnowshop.co.uk/shop/detail.asp?bid=EZDY-195318&item=21
8).
These are very light and are often found by students to be reasonably
easy to cart around. They seem to provide a decent amount of lower back
and posture support, and have the advantage of being able to be placed
on nearly every design of chair.
Although this won't help for students who need height adjustable chairs
etc, for those who are asking for more lumbar support having a
BackFriend does mean that the student is in control of their adjustments
and take it with them to each classroom... reducing the risk of things
going walkies.
best wishes
Honey
