Sorry, but this 100% for sure about the provision of subsidised STB to
relevant benefits claimants when the Analogue TV in their area is
switched off.
Now, I can see that the switch-off might result in a higher than average
number of old TVs being thrown out, but the WEEE regulations are part of
a wider recycling initiative, not just because the Govt wants to sell
off the non-Freeview TV frequencies. But it would an interesting use of
the money obtained from that bandwidth sale, to pay for recycling the
obsoleted TVs!
