Hello,
Does anyone have a parking policy which would solve the issue below between
blue badge holders and non blue badge holders who have mobility difficulties.
At Worcester we have a policy whereby only blue badge holders can park in
designated accessible parking bays and receive their campus parking permit
free. We have having an increasing number of students who do not have blue
badges and are probably not be entitled to one (based on council criteria)
but have medical evidence and needs assessment recommendations stating they
would benefit from parking close to the main area of the campus. The issue
here is not so much paying for a campus permit but allowing use of the
limited number of accessible bays at the cost of a blue badge holder not
being able to find a free space when needed.
Any suggestions welcome.
Thanks
Steve Joyce
