Diversity Officer (Students)
The University of Nottingham requires a Diversity Officer to co-ordinate and
promote its equality and diversity provision for students. Nottingham has a
strong tradition of attracting students from a wide range of backgrounds and
cultures both from within the UK and globally. The University has a
nationally recognised approach towards student disability and wishes to
further develop this proactive and inclusive approach to the full diversity
agenda. The person appointed will be an enthusiastic member of staff who
will play a leading role in policy development and awareness raising of
diversity issues, including disability, race, gender and religion, in order
to promote inclusivity.
Candidates should be graduates (or hold equivalent qualifications) with at
least three years’ experience of working within the field of disability,
race or gender preferably within a Higher Education setting. They should
have in-depth knowledge of diversity legislation together with strong
interpersonal skills both written and oral. Candidates should also have a
proven track record of working as part of a team and on their own
initiative.
Salary will be within the range £30,607 - £37,643 per annum, depending on
qualifications and experience (salary can progress to £43,638 per annum,
subject to performance). This post is open to job share.
