I doubt whether application for a DSA would effect an eligibility for
special exam arrangements. For example, some students with mental health
support needs might elect not to apply for the DSA on grounds of keeping
their needs confidential, but would still be entitled to special
arrangements should they so wish it. In cases such as these, a university
could be alerted to the need for a special arrangements by an appropriate
officer but the information about the reasons for that need would not be
disseminated. This principle could apply equally to all other kinds of
impairment.

Subject: Special examination arrangements policy.
Has anyone a statement something like 'Students who require special
examination arrangements must have applied for Disabled Students' Allowance
if eligible.' written into their Special examination arrangements Policy?
