John
I had a similar one up here. We are of the view that anything given by
a member of staff remains confidential unless it goes to disciplinary
hearing and employees are advised of this before giving statement. If
it does not go to disciplinary then the statements are destroyed.

Subject: SAR advice
Dear All
A member of staff has made an SAR asking to see copies of statements
made by
colleagues during the course of an internal HR investigation in which he
has
been accused of bullying behaviour. If I anonymise the statements, some
are
general enough not to identify the person who made a particular
statement,
but others contain details of incidents that will clearly identify the
participant(s).
Can anyone give me guidance on how to handle this one, in particular if
they've been in a similar situation?
Regards
John
