The main question to consider would be whether the colleagues gave their
statements confidentially or not. Statements given under a "whistle
blower" policy for example are likely to be exempt from disclosure
altogether...... Depending on what the policy says. And I would always
recommend that you consult the people first to see if they have any
genuine reason why they would not like their names and/or comments
revealed to the SAR concerned.

Subject: [data-protection] SAR advice
Dear All
A member of staff has made an SAR asking to see copies of statements
made by colleagues during the course of an internal HR investigation in
which he has been accused of bullying behaviour. If I anonymise the
statements, some are general enough not to identify the person who made
a particular statement, but others contain details of incidents that
will clearly identify the participant(s).
Can anyone give me guidance on how to handle this one, in particular if
they've been in a similar situation?
Regards
John
