Sorry, can't answer that for certain I'd assume that they don't have to be
but 'should' be. Just another of those loopholes waiting to be closed after
a scandal. Call me cynical ;o)
Really posting to ask a similar kind of question... Could anyone confirm
what authority these community busybodies (i.e. cheapie police) have to
request personal information (name, address, etc)?
To explain, I'm not a fugitive but you occasionally hear stories about
people being fined for littering in bizarre circumstances. I smoke
(terrible, I know) and there is a noticeable lack of bins in Newcastle. I
can't help thinking I'm going to be issued with a fine by one of these
people one day, not sure I'm under any obligation to give them any
information about myself.
Anyone know where I would stand? Appreciate it’s a little OT but Chris just
reminded me to find this out!
TIA.
Carl

Could any Public Authority that engages the services of traffic wardens or
parking attendants tell me if these personnel are subjected to a Criminal
Record Check and if so through what authority.
Many Thanks
