With apologies for raising this on an FE forum...
A public authority seeks to engage an external company to review and data
mine its data from two sources (creditors and payroll). The proposed data
set is:
- employee number
- employee name
- address fields
- postcode
- bank sortcode
- bank account
- telephone number
- national insurance number
- date of birth
- start date
- end date
- next of kin name, address, postcode, telephone number
- department
- grade
- pay frequency
- pay to date, overtime to date, bonus to date, dewductions to date.
We are empowered to do this under our notice to the commissioner
concerning crime prevention and prosecution of offenders
Anyone else had external companies coming in and doing this kind of in-
depth mining? Why we couldn't do it ourselves is a matter of debate - but
certainly not here!!!
