Wikipedia has a good explanation
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gleichschaltung
Should be reasonably accurate despite some recent misgivings over their
content

Not quite sure if I should be interested in this or not?
Leaving aside that the only part of gleichschaltung I could figure out
was gleich "directly", I had to babelfish the rest which gave me
synchronisation.
More information if possible please!! (I may just be being thick, so I
apologise in advance).
Simon.

Subject: [data-protection] Personal surveillance data
The following is passed for the information of anybody interested in
this subject.
There was an interesting Dispatches programme on channel 4 last night
covering some aspects of one facet of a Gleichschaltung.
The programme contained many linkages and potential DP issues when
considered on the whole.
