I think that as long as you are dealing with this as an FOI request, you
would have a "duty to consult" the Unions concerned in any case.....

I have received a request as to how many employees are members of a
Union. How many Unions and how many members in each.
I can see no problem with this as it would not identify individuals but
as Union information is sensitive information (although as I have said
does not identify individuals) just thought I'd get your views. Can't
see that it would do any good - unless they are trying to work out how
many did/did not go on strike re. the pensions fund.
Any thoughts welcomed..............
