Go down the personal information route (I think it is S40) in England
and Wales - S38 here in Scotland. If it was a member of the public then
possibly the only ones you would exempt are those where they could
identify an individual i.e. I am the only person with this title in the
Council and a member of the public could identify me.

Subject: Personal Data in FOIA?
Hi all,
An employee of ours has requested information data under the FOIA
regarding early retirements. He has requested Job Titles, Post Numbers,
Date of Retirement and Salary Scales of people who have retired early
and the cost/benefit in monetary terms to the Council of these
retirements.
I believe this request may have Data Protection issues as I believe they
may have access to other information which my mean they can identify
certain individuals from the job title/post number. (i.e. they are
working here and know who were in these posts)
I am leaning towards editing the data and removing the job title/post
numbers (though I wouldn't probably wouldn't do this if they did not
work at the Council).
Does anyone have any views on this?
Thanks
Steve
